You will take ownership of the existing payment provider portfolio, strengthen partner relationships and improve commercial terms, service quality and processing volumes. You will also identify and onboard new providers when the company needs to expand its payment infrastructure, geographic coverage or payment methods, working closely with technical and operational teams.
About the company and the project:
Manage and develop relationships with existing PSPs, banks, payment gateways, acquirers and other payment infrastructure providers.
Monitor service quality, approval rates, fees and commercial terms. Negotiate improved pricing, cooperation terms and SLAs with existing partners.
Increase processing volumes through existing providers by expanding payment methods and geographic coverage. Source new providers when required to support geographic or product expansion.
Conduct initial provider due diligence, assessing commercial terms, reputation and compliance profiles. Coordinate partner onboarding and technical integration with Tech, Compliance and Operations.
Escalate and resolve operational issues affecting provider relationships. Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product and Finance.
Represent the company at industry events and in professional communities when needed.
Proven experience in payments, PSPs, acquiring, payment gateways or banking. Experience as an Account, Relationship or Partnership Manager working directly with payment providers, beyond merchant account management.
Understanding of the high-risk payments sector and its compliance requirements. Strong commercial negotiation skills, including renegotiating existing partnership terms.
Ability to independently manage partner relationships from initial contact through ongoing development. A systematic approach to portfolio management and follow-through.
English proficiency sufficient for business negotiations with international partners. Availability for fully remote work and flexibility across international time zones.
Nice to Have: Experience on both the PSP side and the merchant or payment company side; Experience sourcing and onboarding new payment providers; An established network of PSPs, banks and payment providers in the high-risk segment; Experience attending payments industry conferences and participating in professional communities; Russian language skills for communication with Russian-speaking partners.
Base salary agreed individually based on experience and expectations.
Potential discretionary quarterly bonus based on results and management assessment; no fixed bonus formula or profit percentage at the start.
