Head of Optimization | Remote / Hybrid / Office

We're looking for a Head of Optimization to build and lead a newly established Optimization Department. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building optimization processes, developing the team, improving advertiser performance, and increasing spend across traffic sources.

The Optimization Department has recently become an independent business unit after evolving from the Media Buying team and will play a key role in the continued growth of the Ad Network. Unlike traditional Media Buying, this function works with the Ad Network’s own advertising inventory.
About the company and the project:
Your tasks
Build and scale the newly established Optimization Department. Define the department’s optimization strategy, structure, and development roadmap.

Lead, mentor, and develop Team Leads and Optimization Specialists. Establish scalable processes, performance standards, KPIs, and best practices.

Build a proactive, analytical, and ownership-driven team culture. Own the optimization strategy across advertiser campaigns. Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Increase advertiser spend while ensuring campaigns consistently meet agreed KPIs. Launch, optimize, and scale campaigns across proprietary traffic sources. Improve campaign profitability, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Work closely with Account Managers to maximize advertiser performance and retention. Partner with Publisher teams to balance advertiser KPIs with traffic monetization.

Connect advertiser demand with publisher supply across the Ad Network. Monitor traffic quality and support fraud prevention initiatives.

Improve advertiser retention through stable and sustainable campaign performance. Collaborate with Product, RTB, Publisher, Demand, Marketing, and Account Management teams. Translate optimization needs into product and technical improvements.
Advantages
Requirements
Proven leadership experience as Head of Optimization, Head of Media Buying, Optimization Team Lead, or in a similar AdTech role.

Strong experience working with proprietary traffic sources within an Ad Network. Experience working with both advertiser and publisher sides of an advertising platform.

Ability to balance advertiser performance requirements with traffic monetization goals. Hands-on experience with Pop and In-Page traffic.

Experience with Web Push traffic is a plus. Experience optimizing campaigns on proprietary inventory rather than purchasing traffic from external sources.

Deep understanding of campaign optimization and advertiser performance KPIs. Proven ability to increase advertiser spend while maintaining target performance.

Strong understanding of RTB and the Programmatic advertising ecosystem. Experience working with traffic quality and fraud prevention.

Strong analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to decision-making. Experience building, scaling, mentoring, and developing optimization teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. High level of ownership, proactivity, and independent decision-making. Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.

English: B2+.
