Experience
We’re looking for an Economist with strong experience in budgeting, cost control, payment request verification and budget execution analysis. This is a role for someone who can work with large volumes of financial data, check expenses against approved budgets, and ensure financial discipline.

You will be responsible for checking the correctness and validity of payment requests, ensuring that expenses comply with approved budgets, contract terms and supporting documents. The role also includes controlling budget execution, preventing duplicate payments, reviewing financial terms in contracts, and preparing monthly plan vs actual analysis. This position requires strong analytical thinking, advanced Excel skills, experience with 1C, and a solid understanding of budgeting and basic accounting principles.
About the company and the project:
Your tasks
Check the correctness of payment requests by department and cost item. Verify payment requests against approved budgets, contract terms and supporting documents. Analyze the validity of planned expenses, including the purpose and economic justification of costs.

Ensure that expenses are reasonable, budget-compliant and properly documented. Control and prevent duplicate payments and repeated financing of the same operations or documents. Review contracts in terms of financial conditions, including pricing, payment terms, penalties, payment deadlines and budget limits.

Monitor budget execution across departments and responsibility centers. Prepare monthly plan vs actual analysis of expenses. Analyze deviations between planned and actual spending.

Work with large volumes of financial and operational data. Support budget control processes, including planning, approval and execution monitoring. Participate in the consolidation of budgets across responsibility centres.

Advantages
Requirements
Experience in budgeting, budget control, finance, economics or a similar role.

Knowledge of the full budgeting cycle: planning, approval and execution control.

Experience with P&L budget and cash flow budget processes. Experience consolidating budgets across responsibility centres.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Experience working with 1C. Experience working with large volumes of information.

Advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical mindset. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work with deadlines and structured financial processes.

Russian language is required.

Nice to Have: Experience working with BIT.Finance; Experience in an international company and multi-department or multi-entity budgeting; Understanding of management accounting and cost allocation principles.
