We’re looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to take full ownership of financial strategy and risk management in a large-scale fintech company operating in the microfinance and consumer lending space.

Salary
$20,000 – $30,000 per month.
A fast-growing fintech company in the microfinance sector, operating within the top-10 microfinance institutions in Mexico, serving nearly 1 million active clients and backed by $15M in funding. The business manages a large retail credit portfolio and operates in a highly regulated financial environment. As CFO, you will be responsible for the entire financial function: from portfolio performance and credit risk to investor communication and capital structure. This role requires deep hands-on experience with NPL, reserves, IFRS, liquidity management, and debt financing, as well as the ability to influence strategic decisions at the executive level.
About the role and the project:
Your tasks
Own and lead the company’s financial strategy and execution. Manage retail credit portfolio performance and financial sustainability. Oversee NPL, loan loss provisions, and reserve policies.
Control credit risk, delinquency management, and portfolio quality. Ensure full compliance with IFRS (with strong focus on credit products). Lead budgeting, forecasting, and plan–fact analysis.
Own P&L, Cash Flow, and financial reporting. Manage liquidity, treasury operations, and capital efficiency. Optimize capital structure and excess liquidity usage. Lead debt financing and investment attraction processes.
Maintain direct communication with investors and lenders. Ensure compliance with local and regional financial regulation. Act as a key strategic partner to the CEO and executive team.
Advantages
Requirements
Proven experience as CFO or Deputy CFO in a microfinance or credit institution. Hands-on experience managing retail loan portfolios.
Deep understanding of NPL, reserves, and credit risk management. Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially related to lending products.
Experience with debt financing and investor relations. Strong background in budgeting, treasury, liquidity, and reporting. Ability to operate in a regulated financial environment.
Experience working in LATAM (Mexico is a strong advantage). Understanding of regional financial regulation.
Languages: English required (working level), spanish required (for Mexico-based operations), russian — a plus.
Executive-level role in a top-tier microfinance fintech company.
